Job Title Director, Treasury Controller Overview • The Director, Treasury Controller, will serve as the lead contact with respect to accounting, financial reporting and operational support for the Company's Treasury department. • Serve as advisor and liaison between Corporate Controllers, Treasury, Tax, Legal and Shared Service groups. Role • Accounting lead on moderate to complex issues, including interpretation and documentation of technical accounting guidance and conclusions. Advise and interact with senior management on technical complex transactions. • Critical role in overseeing Treasury related activity including but not limited to derivatives, investments, debt, hedge accounting, collateral accounts, cash accounts, foreign currency, settlement, insurance, and treasury buy-backs while maintaining a strong internal control environment. • Complete special requests from Senior Management for analysis, research, and detailed information, including other projects deemed necessary from time to time by the Treasurer and Corporate Controller. The special requests may include researching, consulting and reviewing technical memorandums on proposed and/or completed transactions. • Provide training to employees on new accounting pronouncements, corporate policies and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. • Prepare and review key disclosures and footnotes for the Company’s quarterly and annual SEC filings. • Oversee Treasury related activities as part of the month-end close. • Interface with external auditors regarding the application of generally accepted accounting principles to certain of the Company's transactions and matters. All About You • Bachelor Degree or Master’s in Accounting • Manager/Senior Manager or equivalent level at big 4 public accounting firm or similar technical accounting experience in large public company • Strong project management skills with the ability to collaborate with different individuals across the organization to influence, train, mentor and leverage the skills of others to achieve objectives • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills with emphasis on building strong, long-term relationships worldwide across varying geographies and functions • Self-motivated with ability to meet project deliverables • Proficiency with researching accounting literature including FASB, SEC, AICPA, tax expertise a plus • Treasury or finance experience preferred • CPA required In the US, Mastercard is an inclusive Equal Employment Opportunity employer that considers applicants without regard to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disabled or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
