Valiant is growing and we are seeking a Part-Time On Call (PTOC) Proposal Recruiter to effectively meet the organization's staffing requirements on our Bid & Proposal efforts. Our recruiting team is dynamic, fast-paced, hard-working, and fun! We work with high caliber leaders that are honest, collaborative, and open-minded. The incumbent will perform all recruiting responsibilities in support of identifying, interviewing, evaluating, and selecting qualified candidates. This role requires someone with business acumen who can think strategically and see the bigger picture while also digging into the administrative details needed for each pursuit.
Responsibilities
- Serves as recruiting lead and trusted advisor over Bid & Proposal (B&P) efforts to support business development with the deliverables for strategic capture efforts.
- Performs the full lifecycle of recruiting functions to include assisting proposal managers with developing and marketing job positions, sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, reference checking, extending verbal and written offers while also maintaining detailed candidate information.
- Meets with leadership on an on-going basis to forecast and review organizational recruiting requirements.
- Advises senior leadership on recruiting trends, best practices, market data as it pertains to specific B&P opportunities.
- Develops innovative techniques to support internal customer needs.
- Maintains a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates.
- Directly supports transitions after a win to ensure the staffing deliverables are met, including efforts to hire current incumbents.
- Performs a variety of professional and administrative functions to ensure positions are filled quickly with qualified candidates.
- Provides regular reporting and communication to senior management on recruiting progress and any issues.
- Offers solutions and ideas to solve problems.
- Assists in streamlining our process and procedures for continuous improvement.
- Represents department to internal and external applicants.
- Provides coaching and mentorship to less experienced recruiters, when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
