Position Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of projects as assigned and provides management oversite of domestic and international contractors and sub-contractors who are engaged to fulfill the various components of the projects.


Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

  • Tracks and prepares project financial and activity reports and budgets.
  • Reviews and manages contractor activities relating to project implementation, invoicing, and satisfaction of contract requirements to ensure compliance and contract deliverables are met.
  • Supports day-to-day management of projects within the assigned portfolio by developing Request for Proposals (RFPs), develops and submits Contract Request Forms (CRF), and continuously reviews project status.
  • Supports Target Area Directors as necessary to adequately prepare for meetings.
  • Participates in all project planning meetings.
  • Acts as a liaison between team members, trade show coordinators, event planners, travel agency and contractors.
  • Provides ongoing support to inbound teams traveling to the US.
  • Assists in the annual Unified Export Strategy (UES) process.
  • Contacts contractors to ensure projects remain in scope and contract deliverables will be completed as specified.
  • Prepares budgets utilizing historical and current data to fund new projects.
  • Assists as directed with outbound travel, works directly with travel agencies to complete travel itineraries, submits expense approval forms to ensure compliance, and prepares travel expense reports for processing. 
  • Interacts with the Target Area Directors to ensure projects are progressing as anticipated. 
  • Assists with marketing activities to implement the Global Utilization Plan.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Thorough understanding of and the ability to quickly learn about a project and outline a plan to proceed efficiently to meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work efficiently with domestic and international teams across varying time zones.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills reflecting the ability to collaborate effectively and respectfully with domestic and international teams.
  • Proficient with Excel and Microsoft related software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to successfully monitor and manage global contractors and sub-contractors.



Requirements

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Business, Marketing, International Relations, or a related discipline. 
  • 3-5 years of related experience in project management.
  • Event management and travel management experience is a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Light sedentary office work.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
  • Occasionally participating in trade shows when there are long periods of standing at the booth
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. at times.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
