Responsibilities: Work on cross-functional teams on reagent subcomponent organic chemistry processes. Facilitate and support the transfer of manufacturing and quality control processes from development through scale-up to volume production in a regulated manufacturing environment Design, size, develop, and/or source new production equipment and establish safe production processes Develop and transfer robust new processes/products to production. Execution of manufacturing builds when needed to support Development, Pre-Production and Production orders. Plan and execute laboratory investigations in the area of organic and analytical chemistries Construct, execute, evaluate, and make recommendations on controlled experiments (including DOEs) to optimize processes to address yield and quality issues, reduce costs, define requirements/specs, and drive implementation of solutions to meet production goals Author technical documents, such as engineering reports, test protocols, validation documents, or changes to existing documentation or processes to meet compliance requirements Analyze, trend, and monitor process test results, and present reports to cross-functional teams Utilize process engineering methodologies, such as FMEA, SPC, gauge R&R, critical parameter management, or similar, to measure and improve process capability and robustness Other duties as assigned Requirements: Experience with organic chemical processes (synthesis and purification methods) and analytical chemistry required. High level problem-solving and reasoning skills required. Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize activities in a constantly changing, fast paced environment. Excellent verbal/written communication skills with many stakeholders of diverse backgrounds and an ability to accomplish goals while working across departments is required. Ability to learn new technologies/processes quickly and determine impacts to multiple operations-related business areas (e.g. Supply Chain, Quality, Validation, Manufacturing). Experience with synthesis of small molecules preferred. Experience with statistics, statistical process control, statistical analysis software (e.g. JMP, Minitab), and DOE techniques preferred. Experience with product development processes and project management preferred. Analytical testing method validation and transfer experience preferred. Experience in a regulated and/or GMP environment preferred. Listed responsibilities are an essential, but not exhaustive list, of the usual duties associated with the position. Changes to individual responsibilities may occur due to business needs. The estimated base salary range for this role based in the United States of America is: $72,000 - $108,000. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
