Responsibilities: Assists in managing customer inquiries and driving them to resolution in a timely and efficient manner. Key service element for Illumina employees as well as a support function for Illumina management. Responsible for assisting with the processing of both regular and off-cycle payrolls as required and also for generating audit reports, interfacing with Illumina’s payroll vendor (ADP), troubleshooting, and ensuring that accuracy and timeliness is a paramount goal regarding all transactions. Primarily focused on payroll operations from time & attendance to payroll production and right through direct deposit. Requirements: Requires previous hands-on payroll experience, with ADP payroll software (Payforce/EV5 and eTime is strongly preferred.) Strong communication and customer service skills demonstrated by the ability to effectively communicate with a broad variety of people, in person, by telephone, and in writing. Requires strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task in a high volume, demanding environment. Skilled and experienced at providing support where attention to detail is key and follow-up is essential Experience in customer service with an emphasis on handling payroll issues with a positive, helpful attitude. Very strong teamwork approach to problem solving and task management. Ability to adapt to Illumina's payroll business practices and processes. Experience in the key areas of payroll not required, but strongly preferred: ADP systems experience – eTime/EV5/PayForceWage & Hour Law (Both Federal and State) Full-cycle Payroll Processing and Time & Attendance (eTime) Employment Taxes Federal, State & Local Withholding Taxes Tax Deposits & Filings Quarter & Year-end Reconciliations (941, W-2's, W-2C's etc.) Banking & Direct Deposit Wage Attachments/Garnishments Employee Voluntary Deductions System-savvy & Process Minded Able to take on special project/reporting requests. Experience with monthly Journal Entries and General Ledger tasks a plus.
