Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Chapter Director (Volunteer) to create and lead a local chapter of USA Cares. This volunteer position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of veterans and their families within your community. As a Chapter Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of your chapter, including team and volunteer management, budgeting, and strategic planning for future events. You will serve as the primary representative of USA Cares in your area, working to promote our mission, grow our outreach through your network, and ensure effective support for veterans.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of volunteers, fostering a collaborative and motivated environment.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to drive chapter growth and community engagement.
- Oversee the chapter’s budget, ensuring responsible management of funds and resources.
- Coordinate fundraising activities and events to support USA Cares’ mission locally.
- Act as a key liaison between USA Cares headquarters and your chapter, ensuring alignment with national goals and initiatives.
- Build relationships with community partners, sponsors, and local businesses to expand chapter support and visibility.
- Regularly report on chapter performance, challenges, and successes to USA Cares leadership.
Qualifications
- Team Management and Volunteer Management skills.

- Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience working with or supporting veterans is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
