The Opportunity
We are seeking 1 dedicated Quality Assurance Advisor Senior for our Corporate or regional offices. Responsible for developing, implementing and sustaining quality assurance/control programs to ensure effective and efficient policies, processes, and procedures are aligned and followed Conducts quality reviews and delivers results to appropriate partners and develops action plans for success.
This position is a hybrid work type and can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX; Plano, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Charlotte, NC; Chesapeake, VA, Colorado Springs, CO or Tampa, FL. Hybrid roles help employees gain the best of both worlds – collaborating in-person in the office and working from home when needed to achieve focused results.
What you'll do:
Uses advanced knowledge to provide guidance in the design, assessment, implementation and/or administration of sophisticated quality assurance/control programs, practices and policies.
Identifies and evaluates quality standards, measurements, and process improvements to ensure they are aligned with internal practices and regulatory requirements.
Uses quality methods and tools to identify, analyze, improve, and implement effective and efficient business solutions.
Performs independent assessments to identify training needs and improvement opportunities for program efficiency.
Briefs senior management on results, trends, studies, and initiatives, and recommends courses of action.
Serves as a functional expert and mentor to peers and team members and acts as a resource for brought up issues of an unusual nature.
Identifies and manages existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role.
Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, supervised, and controlled.
Follows written risk and compliance policies, standards, and procedures for business activities.
What you have:
Bachelor’s Degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
6 or more years progressive operations or process experience
2 years quality assurance, control or quality improvement experience.
Previous experience operating in a financial services environment
Demonstrated experience in analyzing data, identifying trends, and influencing decisions on recommended strategies to remedy issues.
What sets you apart:
2 or more years USAA Auto or Property claims operations experience
Demonstrated experience in creating communications and/or reporting for and briefing senior management
Practical application and experience using reporting tools (i.e., Salesforce, Tableau, etc.)
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and provide actionable insights
Proven experience with audit, risk and/or compliance related roles
Sophisticated knowledge of auto or property claims processes
Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint experience
Formal USAA quality assurance/control experience
Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory laws and standard methodologies.
Experience working with both internal and external partners/suppliers

What we offer:
Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The salary range for this position is: $78,670 - $150,330.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
