Job Summary: Assist the Legal Department in handling the day to day functions of the department and assist with the tasks the department needs to complete by performing the duties and responsibilities below.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ·
- Produce, edit, and manage various company business agreements and documents in accordance with company standards.
- Assist with the contract lifecycle management and apply best-practice methodologies to develop contracts and supporting documentation.
- Develop and manage a contract management system.
- Draft corporate policies and governance documents in accordance with company standards.
- Help create procedures and practices within the department to promote efficient workflows, including creating and managing form banks and templates.
- Assist certain volunteer committees with their annual activities and projects.
- Accurately research, analyze, and interpret legal documents in order to respond to inquiries.
- Conduct research projects as assigned.
- Assist with the department’s risk management efforts by conducting informational investigations, gathering documents, and drafting responses to various inquiries.
- Handle miscellaneous projects and other duties as assigned for the legal department.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. · Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of five years’ experience working for multiple attorneys and handling a heavy workload. · Highly organized and self-directed business style with strong ability to prioritize.
- Knowledge of legal documents in a corporate context.
- Ability to read and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret and utilize a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Must be flexible to changing priorities and needs.
- Ability to organize information and present it in a clear and concise manner.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills required, including the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization with tact and diplomacy.
- Detail oriented with a solid work ethic.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
- Must be vaccinated for COVID-19.
