The Job Details: On a daily basis, develop solutions through load building and carrier selection to ensure execution of deliveries that meet customer and USCS expectations. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
  • Coordinate daily shipments. This includes load planning, carrier selection and dispatching of loads
  • Ensure a high level of customer service and satisfaction
  • Ensure the solutions developed meet the profitability objectives of the department
  • Research and resolve delivery discrepancies that meet customer expectations and department guidelines
  • Interaction with customers as it relates to their orders, delivery appointments and service
  • Interact with and maintain positive carrier relations
  • Support Transportation Managers in month-end financial closing process and procedures
  • Support the Transportation Manager in other projects as needed as assigned
  • Other duties may be assigned

What We Are Looking For:
Education
  • High School Diploma / GED required
Experience
  • 2 years of Transportation experience preferred.
  • Good communication skills, written and oral.
  • PC, leadership and planning skills helpful.
  • Experience in AS400, SAP, Word, Excel and PowerPoint a plus.
  • Experience with warehouse paperwork a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a constantly changing chaotic environment and consistently meet tight timeline.
  • Ability to coordinate with contracted trucking dispatchers and drivers

  • Follow posted security procedures at all times while in the building.
  • Participate in Safety and Educational Training.
