Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
Delivering exceptional customer satisfaction. Ensures customer retention by developing relationships with hospital personnel at multiple levels of the hospital including decision-makers and other key stakeholders.
- Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting client relationships.
- Manage our largest clients and provide routine account reviews.
- Manage assigned accounts and stakeholder hierarchy.
- Ensure CRM is up to date with all clinical and laboratory stakeholders.
- Schedule introductory calls with leaders and new leadership as they update internally.
- Ensure complete understanding of service offerings and that clients are aware/up to date with full catalog of testing available.
- Identify missing gaps of support/resources for each account.
- Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.
- Stay abreast of changes in the marketplace impacting customers.
- Calling on hospital staff including Directors of OB, Directors of Women’s, Directors of Mother baby, Laboratory Directors, Senior level hospital administrators, etc.
- Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships with multiple stakeholders within the hospital/health system.
- Leverage relationships to turn a current customer into a referral / reference source.
- Use Salesforce CRM to log all detailed activities and communications.
- Collaborate with the Newborn sales team to improve customer satisfaction and retention.
- Complete all administrative tasks thoroughly and promptly.
- Drive sales growth in existing hospital accounts through targeting new sales opportunities and identifying and closing potential leakage opportunities.
- Participate with business development team in developing business plans and effective value propositions to increase volume and profitability in assigned hospital accounts.
- Analyze the utilization/profitability of existing accounts, then develop and execute action plans to increase these returns.
- Assist with contract renewals.
- Providing on-going account specific analysis for the team.
- Identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas.
- Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. turnaround time, utilization, uniform pricing, etc.)
- Deliver presentation to hospital groups as needed to grow the book of business.
- Conduct hospital in-service training on an as needed basis.
- Assist with hosting and moderating webinars.
- Educate hospital personnel on all processes and procedures including the test order process to ensure accurate and timely transactions.
- All other duties as assigned by Sales Supervisor.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree with business related degree (e.g., administration, management, etc.)
Knowledge
- 2 years of B2B sales experience.
- Knowledge of healthcare industry.
- Microsoft Office skills (intermediate to advanced Excel skills).
- Experience using a CRM.
Special Position Requirements
- The candidate must possess a professional image.
- Ability to stand for prolong periods of time during conferences.
- Ability to develop and sustain strong customer relationships, strong planning, and organizational skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
- Candidate must have a valid driver’s license. A motor vehicle record in good standing.
- Must be able to travel nationwide to hospitals and conferences on an as needed basis.
- Must be able to setup and work exhibit booths for conferences that occasionally extend throughout the weekend.
- Must be able to occasionally execute back-to-back conferences that may require multiple weeks on the road during busy seasons.
- Must be able to secure and execute travel and lodging plans for hotel, air, rental car, shared ride, and taxi using personal credit card for reimbursement.
- Maintain required hospital healthcare vendor credentialing immunizations up to date for onsite visits as applicable.
- Ability to travel to local/national conferences or client sites (10% travel).
- Valid drivers license with acceptable MVR results.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
