What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Manager position at USF Holland?
The Office Manager will manage activities and efficiently utilizes resources of office administrative staff and equipment in order to meet or exceed customer expectations and to achieve facility and company goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise Revenue Management team to meet departmental goals and ensure policies and procedures are in compliance.
- Prepares and plans daily utilization of resources to ensure a consistent and efficient operation.
- Evaluate office production, revise procedures or devise new methods to improve efficiency of work flow.
- Manage supervisory responsibilities such as; hiring, training, performance appraisal, and employee development.
- Implement procedures and policies to ensure compliance with company practices.
- Utilize programs for training and education to motivate employees to improve performance and quality of work processes.
- Communicates with internal and external customers and suppliers as required to ensure a common understanding and establish customer/supplier relationships.
- Supervise the maintenance of office equipment as required to maximize productivity and minimize equipment down time.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Effective organizational, planning and prioritization skills.
- Proficient using MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel).
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated Leadership and supervisory capabilities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in transportation, business or related area.
- Knowledge of local applicable collective bargaining agreements.
- Experience in the transportation industry.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This job operates in a professional office environment indoors. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The position requires the ability to spend long hours sitting or standing while using office equipment and computers. Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and keying. Occasional lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying 10 lbs of supplies and materials is required.
