JOB SUMMARY:
Works collaboratively with the various groups within the Information Technology department and with the business units to ensure that the appropriate level of quality is designed into information technology solutions. Assures QA standards, guidelines, and procedures are adhered to. Travel may be required up to 10%. Salary Band 6.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Knowledge
- Prepares and documents test cases
- Executes test cases; analyzes and presents test results
- Effectively uses the relevant aids and tools available from the quality control and quality assurance perspective
- Analyzes, reviews, and modifies test cases to ensure quality control guidelines are met
- Helps to ensure that changes do not adversely affect other areas of a given application or system, or related interfacing applications and systems
- Keeps abreast of current and emerging information technology, especially regarding quality assurance
Managing Resources
- May participate in conversion planning
- May participate in migration planning
Business Focus
- Understands business requirements and how quality control solutions impact the business
Other
- Communication: Communicates with internal customers in non-technical terms. Communicates with applications, architecture, and operations teams on issues that are encountered in testing and possible resolutions.
- Teamwork: Works with other groups and departments to develop and implement solutions in a timely manner
- Work Quality: Reviews test cases to ensure adherence to specifications, quality, and procedural standards
- Performs additional responsibilities as assigned

- Works under limited supervision, relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned goals
- Participates in projects of all sizes
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, business, or related field preferred
Years of Experience
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant information technology experience, with the most recent experience preferably in quality assurance testing
Required Skills
- Thorough knowledge of relevant information technologies and how to incorporate quality in technology deployment
- Experience with full life cycle system deployment
- Experience reviewing requirements
- Experience reviewing, creating, and executing test cases
- Experience estimating individual testing effort
- Solid understanding of current software testing best practices
- Experience with testing methodologies and approaches
- Basic understanding of current software quality best practices
- Experience working with relevant QA tools
- Demonstrates strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task & work with competing priorities
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Salesforce testing specifically with Sales, Service & B2B cloudsBasic
- Basic understanding of Job Scheduling tools (IE: Appworx)
- Experience with Oracle EBS
- Basic SQL or PL/SQL skills for querying databases & validating data
- Participation in upgrade/conversion testing
- Demonstrates strong technical aptitude & troubleshooting skills
