Overview :
USIM is a full-service, integrated, media planning and buying agency. We are media agnostic aligning the most successful and efficient media strategies with the goals of our clients, regardless of channel.
As a Media Buying Assistant, you will be accountable for supporting the Buying Department, specifically, working closely under the Director of Local Broadcast Practices, as well as assisting the Local Broadcast Group when necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Steward TV, Cable, and Radio buys for Senior Media Buyer, includes sending avails and orders to vendors, inputting schedules, gathering pre / post logs from stations and compiling Added Value opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of current media campaigns and communications within both our agency and other media partners.
- Proactively gain knowledge of the media landscape, media terms, and systems.
- Develop positive relationships with internal teams and external media providers.
- Evaluate makegood offers and review with Senior Buyer for approvals.
- Resolve discrepancies with vendors between ordered schedules and invoices.
- Stay current on new media and creative uses of traditional media.
- Compile campaign recaps, weekly reports.
- Participate in preparing materials for client meetings and presentations.
- Prepare Post performance reports and associated recaps.
- Assist Traffic Department as necessary with updating accurate records of station vendors.
- Other responsibilities as directed.
Qualifications and Skills :
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, as well as independently.
- Ability to multitask.
- Proficient in standard Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint as well as Outlook Email.
- Experience with FreeWheel (Strata) buying software preferred but not required.
Education and Experience :
- 2 years’ experience in Media industry preferred but not required
- Bachelor’s Degree a plus
