USNIA Services is looking for Armed Security Officers to fulfill different assignments for our clients.
Job Summary:
Armed Security Officers will be responsible for security and control of the assigned areas and the enforcement of the Client's regulations. Work is performed with some independence in accordance with established policies and procedures, supplemented by periodic instructions and meetings. The employee will perform routine work for the Client. Work is performed during various shifts and locations, as required. Supervision is received from the Supervisory Commander assigned.
General Armed Security responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure a safe and secure environment
- Observe, survey, and report activities at the assigned site
- Preserve order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises
- Respond quickly to critical situations
- Monitor and patrol premises on foot or as directed
- Direct clientele to the intended destination
- Assess and act upon threats or deviant behavior accordingly
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to communicate and work well with staff and team members
- Prepare incident logs and daily reports as required
- Other duties as assigned
- Must have prior work experience as Armed Security Guard
- Must have an active DC Armed License (Mandatory)
- Must have a Carry Permit (Mandatory)
- At least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements
- Possession of a valid driver’s license issued by the state of residency
- Possess at least a high school education or equivalent (GED)
Hourly Rate- Starting $19 an hour.
