Job Summary
We are looking for an energetic, creative and skilled Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for an elite, HSS–affiliated orthopedic surgery center. Under the general supervision of the Operating Room Manager, and the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the OR Technician is responsible for providing surgical scrub on all types of minor and major surgical procedures dependent on individual competence.

Required Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- CST certification required.
- Two year previous clinical experience in Operating Room environment preferred.
- Current BLS required
- Knowledge of policies and procedures specific to the OR
- Strong customer service skills
- Manual dexterity to handle instruments quickly
- Must be conscientious, organized, and able to handle the stress of a busy operating room environment.
- Must have the ability to respond quickly and must be familiar with operating procedures in order to have instruments ready for surgeons without instruction.
- Must keep abreast of new developments in the field
