Part-Time: Operating Room Circulator Registered Nurse
No Weekends, No Call, No Holidays!
Saint Thomas Surgicare is a multi-specialty practice that focuses on providing the best and safety patient experience in the outpatient setting. We are currently seeking a dynamic Operating Room Circulating Registered Nurse to join our staff in the capacity of a full time OR RN role.
Job Summary:
Circulating nurses have a crucial role in the surgery setting. For example, circulating nurses may ensure all patient paperwork is completed, such as consent forms. During the procedure, nurses may also document what takes place. They are a patient advocate in that they assure that safety procedures are being met. Circulating nurses may also replenish surgical supplies as needed during the procedure. After the procedure, they may verify instrument count and complete charting and other related duties.
Being detail oriented is also a needed skill for OR nurses. Small mistakes in the operating room can have a big impact on a patient’s condition. Nurses must also be able to handle several things at once. For instance, they may need to listen to the surgeon, monitor the patient and assist with the procedure at the same time.

Required Skills:
- Candidates must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing
- Current unrestricted TN RN license
- Current BLS certification
- Current OR circulating experience preferred
- Willing to train new grads
