The Quality Control Manager will be responsible for supporting the final design, construction and successful implementation of multi-million-dollar energy efficiency projects.
Responsibilities of Quality Control/SSHO Manager:
- Manage the Quality Control (QC) process including scheduling, daily inspections and results reporting.
- Operate project management software to interface with submittal of daily QC reports, weekly CPR’s and other documentation required for monthly progress payment applications.
- Ensure USACE and company mandated documentation is properly completed and, submitted to appropriate reporting authority.
- Coordinate with Government project management personnel and subcontractors to ensure proper QC procedures and documentation are performed and maintained.
- Conduct daily safety and health inspections and maintain a written log which includes area/operation inspected, date of inspection, identified hazards, recommended corrective actions, estimated and actual dates of corrections;
- Conduct mishap investigations and complete required reports;
- Maintain the OSHA Form 300 and Daily Production reports for prime and sub-contractors;
- Ensure sub-contractor compliance with safety and health requirements;
- Maintain applicable safety reference material on the job site;
- Attend the pre-construction conference, pre-work meetings including preparatory inspection meeting, and periodic in-progress meetings;
- Implement, update and enforce APPs and AHAs;
- Maintain a safety and health deficiency tracking system that monitors outstanding deficiencies until resolution;
- Post a list of unresolved safety and health deficiencies on the safety bulletin board;
- Maintain a list of hazardous chemicals on site and their material safety data sheets;
- Communicates successes, challenges, and corrective actions to all stakeholders in a clear and professional manner, in support of company's Safety Values;
- Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications Quality Control/SSHO Manager:
- High School, GED, technical training school
- Minimum 5 years quality control experience, Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM) Certificate, energy services, or electrical project management experience.
- EM-385 Certification
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and business relationships.
- Strong verbal, written, computer, technical communication and presentation skills.
- May require on-call response and travel.
