Assistant Market Manager Overview
As the Assistant Market Manager, you will assist in directing the Flat Bed Delivery Operations of the assigned locations. You will manage the employee drivers, loading, delivery, dispatch, and client/customer relations alongside the Market Manager. Responsibilities
(Include, but are not limited to)
- Oversees loading and unloading of all delivery vehicles in alternate locations to the Market Manager
- Ensures that maintenance of all delivery and service vehicles are completed as scheduled
- Assists the delivery department in accomplishing their deliveries
- Assist in ensuring all operations are operating in compliance with DOT and OSHA requirements
- Conduct ride behind and evaluation of employees to determine skill levels
- Ensures all claims are handled in a timely manner and coach the appropriate driver
- Coordinates with customer service to ensure that all customers are satisfied
- Responsible for assisting with the recruiting and training of all delivery employees (CDL required)
- Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with all members of store personnel
- Analyzes scheduling and routing procedures as well as statistical and routine reports for operation analysis
- Responsible for daily routing of trucks in specified market(s)
- Competent in areas of technology, communication, computer, and phone skills
- Ensure Safety Compliance and metrics are achieved
Requirements
- Higher education and/or equivalent experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Effectively communicate in writing and verbally
- Valid Driver’s License
- Flexible Schedule - Must be able to work a schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays
- Approximate percentage of overnight travel 20% in specified market(s)
- Handle all needs of the customers
- Integrity in all things
