Operations Support Manager

As the Operations Support Manager, you are responsible for the training and development of employee delivery team members to ensure company standards, procedures, and goals are met. This position requires a strong leader that encompasses culture, people leadership, and operational excellence. Strong presentations skills for classroom training as well as project management ability to manager and oversee business launches and new business training. You will take ownership of leading, coaching and developing the employees / teams to ensure company and client standards/procedures & goals are met, including meeting financial targets. You will maintain an outstanding relationship with client’s operational management at all levels from field level through senior management. You will be expected to drive superior levels of service requirements as expected by company’s customers.

Responsibilities
(include, but are not limited to)

  • Create and execute new training as needed for new business and leadership, updates to existing client requirements
  • Conduct classroom environment training for all aspects of the driver/helper team roles and responsibility as on behalf of the client needs at the highest quality level.
  • Trained to be a Certified trainer for Defensive Driving and Moffett courses
  • Teach, Coach and train product knowledge, proper safety guidelines, carry and maneuvering product, etc.
  • Train company Safety training, SOPs and support development of new programs as needed
  • Assists the delivery teams in accomplishing delivery and quality standards as needed
  • Support facilities with stand-up meetings including efficient loading of all vehicles as needed
  • Daily Operation knowledge of day-to-day operations including managing at locations with accountability in the absent of the location manager.
  • Budget planning and accountability, coach and teach as needed in the field
  • Must be able to perform interviews and support hiring as needed
  • Must be able to support in new location launches
  • Conduct driver road test for monthly audits as well as new driver road tests
  • Conducts random safety inspections, truck loading, PPE, backing up with spotter and other areas identified for safety
  • Ensure thorough and effective communication with customers and delivery office throughout each delivery route
  • At all times work as part of the team to ensure the highest standards of customer and client service are achieved
  • Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with all team members and client representatives
  • Create and Monitor Weekly Reports to ensure objective are being met through proper channels
  • Support the overall success of UST Select in all regions and ventures
  • Travel to underperforming accounts and determine root causes of deficient performance while formulating action plan to correct.
  • Handle research and special projects to support the field

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Customer centric mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to problem solve, and creatively think of innovative solutions
  • Ability to multi-task and provide thorough follow-up
  • Technology savvy and willing to teach others
  • Self-starter, motivator with little supervisor
  • Knowledge of consumer appliance delivery and installation
  • Knowledge of DOT/OSHA compliance
  • Flexible Schedule - Must be able to work a schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays
  • Integrity in all things
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • High School diploma and equivalent experience
  • Travel up to 50%
