You Are:
UST is looking for talented and creative Power BI. Provide expertise in data analysis techniques using software tools. Under supervision, streamline business processes.
The Opportunity:
- Design and manage the reporting environment, which includes data sources, security, and metadata.
- Provide technical expertise on data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.
- Support the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements.
- Support initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
- Assess tests and implement new or upgraded software. Assist with strategic decisions on new systems. Generate reports from single or multiple systems.
- Troubleshoot the reporting database environment and associated reports.
- Identify and recommend new ways to streamline business processes
- Illustrate data graphically and translate complex findings into written text.
- Locate results to help clients make better decisions. Solicit feedback from clients and build solutions based on feedback.
- Train end users on new reports and dashboards.
This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.
What you need:
- 3 years' experience with implementing Data Visualization and Analytics Reporting at customer sites.
- 2 years' experience in defining Microsoft Power BI architecture, installation, and configuration of Power BI.
- 2 years' experience defining and building Power BI Reports.
- Experience migrating reports from another reporting tool to Power BI reports.
- Experience with Power BI Desktop to access, transform, mash up, and explore various data sources and then build customer-facing visualizations.
- Experience publishing Power BI reports to the Power BI service, including the design and implementation of workspaces, security, and tenant settings to fit customer requirements and best practices.
- Deep knowledge of data ingestion strategies for Power BI, including extensive use of Power Query. Deep knowledge of DAX language and environment including concepts such as filter context and row context
- Deep knowledge of report optimization techniques.
- Experience leading a "Dashboard in a Day" Workshop or equivalent.
- Knowledge and experience with reporting on sensitive data, adhering to complex compliance frameworks.
- The ability to work in a highly efficient team using an Agile methodology such as Scrum or Kanban. Ability to have extended pairing sessions with customers, enabling knowledge transfers.
- Extensive Knowledge of SQL Databases, Stored Procedures, and other database programming techniques.
- Extensive Knowledge of NoSQL Databases such as Cosmos DB.
- Experience with working on SQL Server Managed Instances (such as Azure SQL Server)
- Experience working with Azure and other tools from the Power Platform ecosystem.
- Having the "Power BI Data Analyst Associate PL-300" certification is a definite plus.
- Having the "Azure Database Administrator Associate DP-300" certification is a plus.
