We are currently seeking highly qualified candidates for a Managing Director to join our National Accounts Off Premise team in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Managing Director will represent the Ste. Michelle Wine Estates portfolio to manage all aspects of assigned account’s business including sales, distribution, category solutions & resources, through direct management of Senior National Account Executives and Category Development Manager in assigned accounts.
In this role, you will:
Effectively represent Ste. Michelle Wine Estates to assigned off premise accounts, developing effective relationships with senior, buying & operational leadership levels.
Lead, manage, coach the advancement of skills & capabilities of direct reports, fostering career goal and developmental achievement.
Collaborate with critical Internal/Distributor Constituents (Senior Leadership, Region VPs, Distributors, and Commercial Managers) to provide key deliverables related to assigned scope of responsibility.
Lead and Execute company strategies & plans to achieve desired results to include EBITDA, Volume, Distribution, Feature & Display, and Customer Preference.
Sell and communicate and sell company portfolio, brand & solutions, through strategic sales leadership.
Collaborate with Commercial COE to create/implement solutions which deliver win-win benefit to key constituents and Ste Michelle Wine Estates.
Ensure proper planning, measurement and execution tracking for all solutions sold.
Develop impactful business relationships to become a preferred supplier.
Knowledge of brands, segments, sizes and forecasted trends for all wine and spirit categories to include Ste Michelle brands and primary competitors.
Communicate/update Ste Michelle key constituents & executive management team with all plans impacting operations, finance and marketing.
Collaborate to ensure initiatives are aligned and executed at all levels.
Lead and manage direct reports to build a high functioning team.
Fiscal responsibility for budgets and resources, including departmental and direct spend.
Distributor & Commercial constituents critical to scope of assigned responsibilities. Position will require nights and weekends for special events and customer outings.
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
Minimum 5 years calling on national retail chain accounts.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
Strong management, communication and leadership skills.
Previous supervisory experience
Strong organizational, problem-solving, analytical, reconciliation and prioritization abilities/skills.
Proficiency with MS Office with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and frequent deadlines.
Drive a vehicle and maintain a valid driver license.
Occasionally lift and carry up to 45 lbs.
Ability for air travel.
