We're looking for a qualified Drill Locator for the Pacific North West region.
The role of a Drill Locator includes the interpretation of signals sent from underground transmitters about location, angle, temperature, and other factors for the drill operator, who operates the drill. Perform semi-skilled activities related to HDD locating along with familiarity with industry standards, policies, guidelines, and procedures.Responsibilities:
- Assist as required in all locating aspects of the project as directed by the Drill Operator;
- Perform job site analysis (JSA) including completion of paperwork;
- Locate utilities with locating systems;
- Record the depth of the tool head as required;
- Handle physically demanding construction duties.
- Ensures safety of the public and other utilities underground facilities;
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned in order to help the team complete a project.
- A valid Class A/B CDL is required;
- At least 2 years of drill locating experience;
- Knowledge and experience with construction and general industry safety standards and procedures;
- Read, understand, and interpret engineering plans and specifications;
- Proven experience in underground utility construction;
- Ability to work 5-6 days per week in an all-weather environment and be willing to travel as required;
- High rates - weekly payments;
- All machinery and equipment provided;
- Long-term employment.
