Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
Primary responsibility will be to lead projects in the development, improvement and implementation of automation in mechanical assembly, machining, and inspection processes. This will include design, specification, directing and managing vendors, collaboration with stake holders, installation and qualification of automated systems and equipment.
Essential Job Functions:
- Become a trusted source for automated system design, and support
- Develop and implement improvements to existing automation in mechanical assembly, machining and inspection processes
- Coordinate projects and required resources for successful implementation
- Work closely with internal and external customers and vendors to resolve issues and provide technical support
- Support technicians on the factory floor as necessary in the manufacture, build, and validation of systems
- Assist in cost and time estimates.
- Perform system risk assessments.
- Ensure designs meet all safety standards and requirements.
- Assist in creating support documentation (user manuals, prints, schematics, maintenance schedules, etc.).
- Participate in meetings with other team members
- Manage tooling and gauge design and drawings
- Provide training and guidance to all junior maintenance interns or members in the operation and maintenance of new equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any electro-mechanical related issues remotely and on-site as needed.
- Strive to develop new skills and embrace leading technologies.
