Construction Supervisor

Job Description

V1Fiber is seeking an experienced, construction manager to support the project teams on deployment of telecommunications-related projects across the United States. Construction Managers will report to the Project Manager.

Responsibilities 

• Direct all internal and subcontract crews on the assigned project.
• Plan, Direct, and Coordinate Construction projects to ensure client goals or objectives are accomplished with a prescribed timeframe and funding parameters.
• Responsible for the full performance of every phase of a major project or a group of smaller projects.
• Overseeing all technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of contractual activities.
• Maintain and enforce the V1Fiber Safety Program.
• Ensure daily job site safety plans are reviewed and followed along with stopping work when an unsafe work practice or conditions exist.
• Maintain project trackers for schedules.
• Interface with internal project team for reporting and monitoring of project progress.
• Provide weekly crew progress reports.
• TRAVEL IS REQUIRED.

Qualifications/Experience

• 5 years of experience in managing fiber OSP projects is required
• Excel in coordinating and steering major projects with multi-million-dollar budgets and building and leading top performing teams is required
• Excellent oral and written communications skills is required
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel is required
• Aerial, directional boring, missiling, macro trenching experience is preferred
• US Citizen or eligible to work for any US employer without visa sponsorship

Education/Training

•     AS/AA Degree preferred or comparable experience.
