Job Summary:
The Assistant Executive Housekeeper is responsible for assisting with the day to day leadership of the housekeeping department and its employees. This position is responsible for handling many of the administrative and operational duties of maintaining the Housekeeping Department. Customer service is a key responsibility, from guest arrival to departure, in accordance with Mount Snow standards. To enforce policies and procedures set in place by Vail Resorts. This position is to plan, organize and monitor staff activities to ensure timely and high quality service of all properties in the Mount Snow Housekeeping Program.
Job Responsibilities:
- Distribute and delegate work load from entry level to leads to guarantee maximum production and guest satisfaction
- Confirm the completion of daily needs with the Front Desk at the end of each shift.
- Complete maintenance tickets as repairs are reported and found in Iqtrac
- Supervise and Assist in Inventory counts
- Assist in the completion of daily assignments alongside the staff when necessary
- Assist in the training of staff in all areas of the department and train employees in all safety regulations when performing job duties as well as report any condition that appears not safe or could possibly cause injury.
- Inspect the completion of work, for desired quality.
- As in any hotel/resort environment, this individual will work around guests and visitors of the hotel. As a part of this position, the individual will be expected to help guests as needed or delegate someone who can.
- Investigate complaints, evaluate corrective actions and implement plan to resolve and de-escalate conflicts.
- Communicate effectively to provide clear direction in assigning and instructing housekeeping in details of work.
- Provide staffing, training, counseling and performance reviews for the housekeeping department.
- Ensure employees understand expectations and parameters.
- Comply with all Resort policies, procedures and standards of operation.
- Ensure the Housekeeping Department leads the charge in regard to recycling
- Solicit employee feedback and review employee satisfaction results to identify and address employee problems or concerns.
- Emphasize guest satisfaction
- Supervise the linen inventory based on forecast CPOR
- Maintain high morale, a good work environment, sense of professionalism and guide the staff to increase productivity.
- Able to schedule staff effectively and efficiently with CPOR
- Other duties as assigned
