SUMMARY OF JOB:
The primary job of a gardener is to maintain the appearance of the flowers beds and containers by watering, fertilizing, deadheading and weeding. Other jobs include removal of debris and addition of mulch, application of pesticides and projects that may require heavy lifting.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Meet expectations and standards set by management for completion of tasks and projects
- Perform basic maintenance such as weed control, deadheading, watering, and fertilizing and pest control. Also includes removal of large bags of debris during spring and fall seasons
- Adhere to specific requirements and pay particular attention to detail
- Contribute to a safe and productive work environment
- Maintain a clean area that is safe for our guests and co-workers
- Work with tools provided, such as hand trowels, clippers, shovels and irrigation equipment
- Report and communicate issues and concerns to management
- Follow all chemical label directions including use of PPE
Qualifications:
- Availability May through October - required
- Valid US Driver's License with acceptable driving record - required
- Previous gardening experience in a Resort or Commercial area - preferred
- Ability to work outside for long periods of time in varying weather conditions.
The budgeted range starts at $15 - $18. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
