Job Summary
Service is the foundation of everything we stand for at Vail Resorts and our Snowmakers are no exception to creating this experience of a lifetime.
Responsible for overseeing the manufactured snow production, Managers are organized leaders working behind the scenes to ensure high quality snowmaking operations.
Job Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of the Snowmaking department for the location such as performance, compliance, staffing, budgets, training, and development
Review engineering and design plans snow making operations and maintenance programs
Manage construction, installation and improvement projects relating to the snowmaking operation
Review records of operational and safety performance making suggestions for improvement
Maintain adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
Participate in leadership forums providing feedback and input on snowmaking operations, training, and continuous improvement opportunities.
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Some college or technical training required
Must be at least 21 years old
Valid driver’s license
3-5 years supervisory experience required; snowmaking operations experience preferred
Must be able to communicate fluently in English
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends
Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
The expected pay range is $28 - $35. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
