About our Opportunity:
As the Manager of Sales Operations at Valenz, you will enhance the customer experience and streamline our sales processes. Partnering with sales leaders and various teams, you will ensure our sales operations are efficient and that our customer relationships remain strong and productive. You’ll bring a proactive approach to directing our sales pipeline, optimizing, and developing proposal responses, and driving process improvements across the board.
Things You’ll Do Here:
- Policy and Procedure Development: Design and enforce comprehensive sales operations policies and procedures to streamline all sales-related activities.
- Financial Oversight: Manage the sales operations budget, maintain up-to-date sales forecasts, and use data to inform financial decisions, aiming for cost efficiency and maximized revenue.
- Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to coordinate promotions and campaigns, ensuring alignment with sales strategies and objectives.
- Sales Metrics and Reporting: Utilize advanced analytics to track and measure the sales team's progress toward goals. Generate detailed reports and dashboards that provide insights into key performance metrics like lead generation, pipeline development, and sales conversions.
- Lead Management: Oversee the use of customer management software for qualifying leads, tracking lead-to-opportunity progression, and analyzing pipeline health and velocity to enhance sales effectiveness.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and lead initiatives to increase efficiency in the sales cycle, particularly focusing on lead qualification and conversion rates.
- Customer Relationship Management: Lead efforts to expand the customer base and deepen existing relationships by supporting collaborative sales efforts and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a liaison between sales, finance, marketing, and other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to sales operations and to implement necessary technological and process solutions.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance sales operations, focusing on areas like proposal response optimization and customer engagement tactics.
- Change Management: Communicate effectively with all stakeholders about changes in sales operations, ensuring smooth adoption of new processes and technologies.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- 7 years in sales operations, business operations, or a related field, and 3 years of experience managing a diverse sales team
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field.
- Strong analytical skills and a strategic mindset, with a proven track record in process improvement and driving change.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of managing multiple initiatives and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
A plus if you have…
- Bachelor’s degree in business, MBA, or equivalent.
