What are the responsibilities and job description for the PMHNP - Crisis Service position at Valera Health?
We are recruiting part time and full time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners to deliver high quality, evidence-based therapy and medication management. Clinicians will work collaboratively with a health navigator who will assist in patient engagement and logistical support. Responsibilities:
- Providing therapy and medication management for a diverse set of patients
- Working in a team-based approach with other clinicians and healthcare navigators
- Regular supervision with psychiatrist for first 3 months
- Offer urgent visits for patients in crisis and bridge visits for patients recently hospitalized with the goal of acute stabilization
Qualifications:
Required:
- Active Nurse Practitioner licensure
- Active DEA licensure
Preferred:
- Bilingual
- Commitment to working with diverse populations and diagnoses
- Reliable self-starter who is able to work independently and also as part of a team
- 3 years of experience in emergency and/or inpatient psych experience
