What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instrumentation 2nd Class position at Valero?
- Maintains and repairs electronic and pneumatic instrumentation.
- Possesses a basic understanding and application of instrumentation math, and units of measurement.
- Demonstrates knowledge of flow, pressure, temperature, and level instrumentation.
- Maintains and troubleshoots various types of solenoid valves, switches, meters, indicators, and temperature sensors.
- Uses test equipment and performs routine calibrations.
- Demonstrates ability to read and interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, and wiring schematics.
- Performs work activities in a safe and environmentally sound manner.
This position is hourly nonexempt status, which means you are eligible for overtime pay.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- A minimum of 2 years experience as an Instrument Technician OR a degree in an instrumentation field is required.
