As a Network Operator 3, you will work on the team responsible for 24/7 alarm response, incident analysis/troubleshooting/dispatch, enterprise job control, customer support, and general level 1 and level 2 I/S services across all Valero business units and locations. This position works on a shift schedule that may include nights and weekends and rotates quarterly.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor and respond to alarms from Valero I/S infrastructure and applications.
- Open and facilitate support calls with third party providers.
- Create, monitor, and troubleshoot scheduled jobs.
- Resolve incidents independently and assist with complex incident troubleshooting and resolution.
- Contribute to Valero’s automation initiatives using PowerShell.
- Follow ITIL based service management processes (Change, Incident, Request).
This position is hourly nonexempt status, which means you are eligible for overtime pay.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- At least 5 years of experience in a Technology or Network Operations Center in a large enterprise environment.
- At least 5 years of experience with first level administration and troubleshooting of Windows Servers, VMware VSphere, and Telecom Circuits.
- Must be able to work quarterly rotating shifts 6AM-2PM, 2PM-10PM, 10PM-6AM and rotating weekends Wed-Thu, Fri-Sat, Sun-Mon days off required.
Preferred Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree (or higher) or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
- Experience with recent versions of Windows Server and VMware VSphere in a large enterprise environment.
- Experience with BMC Control-M Workload Automation.
- Experience with Micro Focus IT Operations Platforms products including Operations Bridge, Network Node Manager, or Service Manager.
- Experience with Rubrik backup and recovery systems.
- Experience with Microsoft System Center Operations Manager.
- Experience with Cisco network hardware.
