Position Summary:
Vallen's Inside Sales Representative is responsible for developing new leads, managing incoming marketing leads, communicating with the sales team and customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring a smooth sales process. You should be able to close sales and meet targets through digital and phone communication methods.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) daily reports and updates.
- Generates revenue by actively pursuing all incoming lead sources, soliciting and obtaining orders, understanding and interpreting technical requirements, providing technical information, and developing accounts.
- Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends and identifying sales opportunities.
- Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new account, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and preparing quotations.
- Manges new orders and inquiries by answering telephone, fax, and e-mail inquiries and verifying and entering information.
- Fills orders by transferring orders to fulfillment, communicating expected delivery date, and explaining stock-outs and delivery time periods
- Develops accounts by checking customer’s buying history, suggesting related and new items, and explaining technical features.
- Maintains communication regarding open leads by reporting, and tracking progress to accommodate sales forecasting.
- Maintains and improves quality of the inside sales process by following standards and recommending improved policies and procedures.
- Updates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions and participating in educational opportunities.
- Accomplishes department and organization goals by facilitating the needs of the inside sales position and be open to different requests to support other areas of the company.
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience:
- Degree preferred not required
- 3 to 5 years of industry sales experience preferred
- Previous experience in an outbound call center or a related sales position.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operating systems such as Epicor.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Excellent phone and cold calling skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Strong listening and sales skills.
- Ability to achieve targets
