We are hiring for Back Office Medical Assistant at Valley Endocrine Associates
Location: Valley Endocrine Associates
3483 S Mercy Rd, Gilbert, AZ, 85297
Working Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Compensation: $20-$22 per hour

1. Rooming Patients/Vitals:
- Greet patients warmly and escort them to examination rooms.
- Accurately obtain and record patient vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rate.
- Document patient medical history and chief complaints in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Prepare patients for examination, ensuring they are comfortable and informed about the process.
- Collaborate with fellow medical assistants to ensure smooth patient flow and minimize wait times.
2. Prescription Refills/Triage:
- Efficiently manage prescription refill requests, ensuring timely communication with pharmacies and patients.
- Handle triage calls, assessing the urgency of patient needs and directing them to the appropriate care or scheduling appointments.
- Work closely with other medical assistants to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively.
3. Preparation for Biopsies:
- Prepare examination rooms and necessary equipment for biopsy procedures.
- Sterilize instruments and ensure all supplies are ready for use.
- Assist during biopsy procedures by adhering to safety and procedural protocols.
4. Prior Authorizations:
- Process prior authorizations for medications and procedures, liaising with insurance companies to secure necessary approvals.
- Ensure all required documentation is complete and submitted promptly.
- Follow up with insurance companies and patients to resolve any issues or delays.
5. Chart Preparation/Medical Records:
- Prepare patient charts for upcoming appointments, ensuring all pertinent information and documentation are included.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with privacy and confidentiality regulations.
- Assist in transitioning paper records to electronic formats as needed.
- Collaborate with other medical assistants to ensure all charts and records are consistently organized and accessible.
6. General Back Office Duties:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked back office environment.
- Manage inventory by ordering and restocking medical supplies.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and assisting with billing inquiries.
- Foster a cooperative and supportive work environment by communicating effectively and assisting colleagues.
Team Collaboration:
- Work synergistically with other medical assistants and healthcare staff to provide high-quality patient care.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions aimed at improving clinic operations and patient satisfaction.
- Support fellow medical assistants in their roles, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance overall team performance.
Salary : $20 - $22
