Job Summary: The Investment Analyst assists with investment strategy, product selection, research, and asset allocation recommendations to prospective and existing clients. The position will learn the foundational pillars of prudent wealth management for high-net-worth families and our proprietary 401(k) fiduciary services offering, while providing ongoing support, analysis and presentation preparation for both the Operations Team and the VFIC Investment Advisors on investment-related activities and utilize both proprietary and third-party databases and software systems.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other assignments, projects and duties may be assigned):

· Assists and supports the VFIC Investment Advisors

· Conducts research for specific investment advisory business projects

· Continually identifies process improvements and develops actionable solutions

· Trades securities in client accounts

· Provides wealth forecast studies for clients and prospective clients of the firm

· Prepares and reports research, analysis, and findings to the Investment Committee

· Examines and assesses client risk tolerances and goals

· Generates proposals based on recommendations for new portfolios to be presented

· Generates proposals and/or rebalance reports based on recommendations

· Creates portfolio analytics using Morningstar Direct to support allocation recommendations for new prospective clients

· Maintains knowledge of asset classes, current market environment, separately managed account platforms and non-proprietary investment manager strategies

· Attends investment manager meetings and works closely with portfolio/due diligence managers to stay informed on current positioning, performance, and outlook

· Prepares recommendations to Advisors during the quarterly billing process for cash needs 

· Project-based assistance for existing clients on sensitivity analysis and simulated scenarios (Monte Carlo, etc.)

· Maintains and updates appropriate compliance records related to the analyst functions of research and trading

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance or a related field 

· 0 – 3 years’ experience in a Finance related position

· FINRA license (Series 65) or willingness to pursue license 

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Strong organizational skills (of physical and digital data)

· Ability to set and manage priorities, adjust workflows and meet deadlines

· Ability to learn new and changing systems

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office

· Proven ability to practice discretion in confidential matters
