What You Will Do:
The Decision Support Analyst has an integral role in planning, preparation, and delivery of financial, clinical and business analysis, decision support, project management, and consulting services for the healthcare system and affiliates. This includes the accurate quantification and measurement of clinical outcomes. In addition, other key responsibilities include development of operating plans and financial solutions that promote an environment of effective decision-making, revenue enhancement, cost efficiency, and sound business practices. Works closely with other corporate teams (accounting, materials management, reimbursement/tax, information technology, clinical informatics and budgeting) and other hospital teams to develop and package financial and clinical products and services catered to meet the specific needs of network customers. Ensures the effective and timely delivery of quality financial/information products and services to VHS customers. Supports the Corporate Director of Strategic Finance in the development of the annual operating and capital budgets and assists in the seamless integration of these plans with the operating goals of hospital business units.

Experience
Must have demonstrable organizational experience in decision support, financial analysis, planning, database management, and revenue cycle. Experience with SQL language, asp.net, and SQL Server 2005 (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS) is desirable. Experience with McKesson Clinical Systems, Lawson, or other financial/clinical applications preferred. 3-5 years experience in finance, decision support, programming, or data analysis required.
Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to identify key business / information needs, define data specifications and/or data modeling. Must be able to demonstrate database management proficiencies. Must possess an in-depth working knowledge of decision support systems, spreadsheets, relational databases, various server/database platforms, fundamental DBA operations, various report-writing and other software tools. Must have strong oral and written presentations skills and be able to make effective oral presentations and prepare concise written reports to a variety of audiences, including Boards.
