What You Will Do:
Patient Access Specialists are responsible for admitting patient for outpatient and inpatient services, emergency room and long-term care services as well as collecting deposits from patients towards the balance of their visit. In addition to registration duties, Patient Access answers switchboard calls, verifies insurance information, screens for prior authorization and medical necessity requirements, and ensures all paperwork is properly signed and accounted for in the registration process to enable accurate billing.
What You Will Bring:
Education High school diploma or equivalent
Experience At least one (1) year experience in a healthcare Secretarial or billing experience preferred
Qualifications Typing at 30 wpm with accuracy Must be able to begin in Patient Access within 14 days after notified applicant has been hired
