What You Will Do:
Program Assistant CM will assist the CM team in all aspects of CM job duties including, but not limited to the assistance of documentation of the patient's admission, clinical updates, and discharge information Responsibilities to also include withdrawing and inserting information into patient charts. Program Assistant CM will be able to relate to a wide variety of patient demographics in terms of age, race, ethnicity, and disability; will act as a team player and patient advocate. Will facilitate the delivery of patient care by performing specific administrative/clerical tasks, support functions and facilitating communication among team members under the supervision of a registered nurse or social worker, as well as any other duties deemed appropriate by the leader. This position requires a person with a positive attitude who is pleasant and cooperative; displays a professional demeanor with patient, families, physicians and fellow employees; works under stressful conditions and remains pleasant and productive; works as a team player and patient advocate.
What You Will Bring:
Education
High School Diploma or GED required
medical terminology preferred
Experience
1 year clerical
Qualifications
• Keyboarding and computer skills/knowledge
• Medical Terminology preferred
• Ability to use good judgment and critical thinking skills to prioritize multiple tasks and solve problems
• Competent to successfully interact with patients according to their special needs which may apply based on the age of the patient served
• Ability to prioritize duties
Must obtain annual flu vaccine.
