What are the responsibilities and job description for the Credit Card Specialist position at Valley National Bank?
The Credit Card Specialist will provide administrative support for all functions related to credit card products.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare paperwork including guaranties and deposit agreements for new business credit card applications. Ensures that online forms are converted to signable PDF files.
- Review loan packages for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with branch personnel to obtain missing documentation.
- Track business credit card applications in the pipeline. Follow up on status as needed.
- Act as a liaison between Consumer Lending underwriting staff, loan administrators, retail branch staff and customers.
- Respond to all branch and customer inquiries regarding credit card products that are submitted via all communication channels - phone, mail and/or internet.
- Scan/upload funded loan documents into Smart Search.
- Setup users on the Elan Client Resource Center and remove users as necessary.
- Perform data entry and account setup on TSYS.
- Provide general administrative support for the work group; (copying, scanning, mail, etc.).
- Assist department staff with task completion as needed.
Required Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and organize assignments.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Intermediate PC skills using Microsoft office applications.
- Knowledge of applications: Miser, TSYS Word, Excel, Harland, Hot list, and Internet.
Required Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED and minimum 3 years loan documentation experience.
