Position Summary
This position provides relief coverage for all dairy product routes in a professional manner, following established handling procedures and safe driving practices that meet supplier/customer expectations and supports the overall achievement of the company’s vision, mission and values. Responsible for maintaining intake utilization and cleanliness.
Essential Functions
- Safely and professionally operate a tanker truck in all weather conditions and adhere to DOT guidelines.
- Operate milk supplier, permeate customer and intake equipment according to SOPs.
- Operate an efficient intake by keeping trucks and drivers on task making sure each bay is utilized.
- Follow federal and state guidelines for proper sampling and antibiotic testing of milk to ensure accurate qualitative and quantitative testing results and verify milk meets all quality standards prior to loading.
- Maintain good communications with procurement leadership team and milk suppliers to ensure a safe, quality product and proper maintenance of equipment.
- Adhere to daily assigned route schedule, if assigned.
- Provide relief coverage to assign milk patrons to established driver routes in a manner that encourages efficient transportation of milk from the farm to the plant.
- Provide relief coverage to schedule the delivery of outside milk loads as well as any other liquid products.
- Responsible for transporting vehicles to service providers.
- Complete and maintain appropriate paperwork and documentation to ensure accurate record keeping including documenting the intake utility checklist.
- Perform regular CIP, general truck and tank cleaning responsibilities according to SOPs.
- Safely handle, prepare and use chemicals while wearing proper PPE.
- Attend and/or complete required safety and quality training sessions by the assigned deadlines.
- Actively participate in extraneous prevention and solids recovery.
- Assist in training of new or untrained procurement employees as assigned.
- Understand and adhere to all food safety, GMPs and OSHA policies and procedures.
- Perform all work in a manner that ensures the highest standard of food safety and quality.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, days of work are on an alternating day shift schedule. Hours of work will vary but are generally 10-12 hours per day. This position will work alternating weekends.
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the scheduled shifts with all shifts starting and ending in Milbank. Occasional overnight travel for training may be possible.
Required Education, Experience & Certifications
High school diploma or GED is required for this position. Must possess and maintain valid CDL with Tank Vehicle Endorsement, valid health certificate and SD/MN Bulk Haulers License.
Preferred Education, Experience & Certifications
Desire five or more years of hauling experience. More specifically, experience hauling milk or liquid is preferred. Prior knowledge with antibiotic lab testing. Bilingual in English/Spanish.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Minimum age requirement is 25.

Salary : $37,300 - $47,200
