As a Phlebotomist you will:
- Perform venipunctures and skin punctures on hospital patients.
- Assists in reviewing lab results and alerts Charge Nurse, Nurse Supervisor or Director of Nursing as needed.
- Responsibilities include blood specimen collection including blood cultures.
Qualifications
As a Phlebotomist you will have:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Formal Phlebotomy training as required by state.
- Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy certification preferred and valid state Clinical Lab Scientists as required by state.
- Six (6) months acute phlebotomy experience or one (1) year experience as a medical assistant performing venipuncture or one (1) year outpatient lab experience preferred.
