What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager Specialty Behavioral Health Services position at Valleywise Health System?
Under the direction of the Director of Outpatient Behavioral Health Services, the Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) Manager works independently to oversee the day to day operations of the IBH Teams (e.g. IBH Clinicians and IBH Specialists) working, FQHC Adult Psychiatry Programs and FQHC Child and Adolescent Program in the Community Health Centers/FQHCs. This position serves as the liaison between ambulatory care and behavioral health services to expand integration efforts and improve existing programs by implementing new evidence-based programs and services (e.g. MAT Services). This position will also be responsible to coordinate initiatives with other departments (e.g. Finance, QI and Grants) to improve key performance measures (e.g. HEDIS) and increase revenue.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Requires a Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Public Health, Public Administration, Management, Government Affairs, or related degree; or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work.
Experience:
- ​​​​​Must have a minimum of seven (7) years of experience overseeing behavioral health programs and/or staff that demonstrates a high level of understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Experience must include demonstrated leadership ability in a healthcare setting.
Specialized Training:
- None.
Certification/Licensure:
- Must be Independently Licensed (i.e. LCSW, LPC or LMFT) and an approved clinical supervisor by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.

Salary Range: (35A) $35.15 - $52.73
