Lathe Operator / Journey Machinist

We currently have a Lathe Operator position open at our Neenah, WI facility, this position is responsible for machining, repairing, and fabricating rolls and other parts. Experience with set up and operation of lathes, VTL, milling machine, 4” boring bar, keyway cutter, portable shot blast according to plant procedures. Must be able to do drilling, taping, grinding, some welding, torching, etc. Make minor adjustments/repairs when necessary. Keep machinery in good, clean working order, including the maintaining of oil and coolant levels. Remove and install bearings. Repair fits by using brush plating and flame spraying. Cut off rubber roll covers as needed. Maintain quality of product throughout process. Prepare time and production records as required. Knowledge of specifications within job functions. Operate crane and forklift safely and efficiently. Maintain a clean and safe work area. May perform other jobs or duties as required by supervisor. Requirements High school diploma or general education degree (GED) along with strong mechanical aptitude. Mush have a minimum of 3-5 years manual Lathe experience.
