Valmet Automation Systems sales support group is looking for a proposal engineer to provide technical advice, quotations and proposals for services projects and consumable products, process orders, and support customer/sales inquiries.
Responsibilities will include:
Well qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in the automation industry. Must possess strong working knowledge of multiple product segments (three or more) with solid understanding of related processes & equipment.

Valmet Automation Systems sales support group is looking for a proposal engineer to provide technical advice, quotations and proposals for services projects and consumable products, process orders, and support customer/sales inquiries.
Responsibilities will include:
- Participating in sales meetings, strategy meetings, quote review and approval meetings.
- Consults with sales team, engineering team and hardware team to compile proposals.
- Analyzes proposal statistics and project execution details.
- Manages internal relationships and proposal preparation deadlines.
- Maintains sales records, customer contracts and sales item data.
- Provides proposals to sales team and service engineering team.
- Provides technical advice to the sales team and customers to develop and successfully implement product or service solutions that will meet the customer’s needs.
- Travel (both domestic and international) may be required as needed.
