Mechanical Design Engineer for lime kiln burners Valmet is the frontrunner of making the Pulp and Paper Industry free of the fossil fuels. We are currently transforming the industry with intelligent fossil-free solutions that enables our customers to eliminate the use of fossil fuels in their pulp mills and in particular their lime kilns. We are now looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop and design burners for rotary lime kilns. You will be part of our product engineering team in Valmet’s Lime Kiln Technology Unit located in Copenhagen. Your role is together with our team of design engineers to design and develop our lime kiln burner systems with focus on safety, performance and cost through in-depth knowledge, innovation, and cooperation with your colleagues in Copenhagen and around the world. The job is a unique possibility for those who enjoys teamwork and like to have hands-on with all engineering aspects from product development to sales and execution. Together with your colleagues, you will have a close co-operation with our service and capital sales and project teams as well as our suppliers and most important all our customers. Furthermore, you will also occasionally have contact with our Field Installation and Operation personnel, when installing and commissioning new burners. Who are you? Most important you have the right drive and entrepreneurial attitude to co-operate, perform and be part of a team of dedicated colleagues in an informal atmosphere. You are energized by a daily business that from time to time is very hectic and requires many priorities to meet deadlines. You have a degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience. You have experience with mechanical design for assembly and manufacturing of industrial equipment and perhaps you are experienced with design of burners including their safety systems. From time to time, you will follow up in workshops and inspect on-site You are a SolidWorks user and an experienced user of other engineering tools and databases like Comos, Enovia, 3DX etc. At work you enjoy the mix of using your analytical skills as well as your ability to work practical and hands-on. Fluent English is required. Your location will be in Copenhagen, Denmark.
