How you will contribute
Valmont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the Administrative Assistant position in the Global Utility Division. We are looking for a highly driven individual that will work under the direction of the Human Resources Manager to provide administrative support and be responsible for assisting the HR staff with various tasks. - Perform general clerical duties such as copying, faxing, mailing, filing, emailing, and responding to and delivering communications
- Interact with employees, assisting them with Workday, Benefits and other HR related functions
- Create and manage documents such as reports, memos, letters, and other documents using Microsoft Office
- Facilitate package deliveries
- Maintain an attitude that unlawful or unethical actions are not acceptable.
- Other administrative duties as assigned

- Conduct business on behalf of the Company in full compliance with the laws of the many jurisdictions in which we operate
- Maintain confidentially all non-public information that might be of use to competitors, or harmful to Valmont or its customers
What it takes
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma of GED equivalent
- Three years of previous experience in an administrative assistant or similar office position
- A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- The ability to recognize and solve practical problems or issues
- The ability to pay attention to detail and follow work instructions
Highly qualified candidates will also possess:
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to support divisional business objectives
- The ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a positive manner
- The ability to effectively interpret and present information both one-on-one and in front of an audience
- The ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand
