Job Summary
Assists in maintaining County owned buildings, grounds, and equipment to preserve the buildings and to provide a safe and healthy environment for employee and clients. Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare vouchers
Prepare quarterly transfers
Organize shop and keep it clean
Order parts and supplies
Unload shipments
Inventory stock
Stock outer building supplies
Clean HSE walks in the winter
Assist staff with projects
Keep adequate vehicle and equipment records
Operate computerized billing system
Maintain computerized work order program
Maintain inventory of incoming/outing stock
Keep adequate records of elevator and boiler certification
Assist in orientation/personal action of new/existing employees
Greet visitors, determine their needs, check appointments and direct them to the proper person/location
Place/receive phone calls, record messages, provide appropriate answers to request for information
Prepare correspondences and material, such as letters and memos
Post Union information for custodial/maintenance staff
Keep adequate records on custodial/maintenance personnel
Keep records to facilitate proper completion of required reports, such as quarterly, attendance work order, gas usage, budget and yearly utility bill comparisons
Work with pest control contractor
Work with paper recycler
Work with light bulb recycler
Work with FlameTamers to maintain fire suppression system/fire extinguishers
Work with MTI coordinating cleaning/supplies in the buildings they provide cleaning staff for
Work closely with custodial/maintenance staff and their needs
Track down parts/tools for maintenance repairs
Work with staff to coordinate maintenance projects
Opens, sorts and distribute incoming mail
Collects and mails outgoing mail
Collects and distributes paper work amongst the county
Schedule maintenance on vehicles
Wash/clean maintenance vehicles
Deliver oral/written messages
Marks, tabulates and files articles and records
Operate office equipment such as computer, fax, laminator, copier and scanner
Operate fork lift
Physical Requirements and/or Working Conditions
Ability to life/carry up to and in excess of 50 lbs. Ability to climb ladders, crawl in small spaces, and crouch, stand, and walk for extended periods of time. Ability to work outdoors under somewhat adverse conditions. Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Qualifications/Experience - High school graduate or GED. Must have valid driver"s license. Supervision Received
