Door assembler

Van Millwork is currently searching for reliable individuals to assist in the assembly of interior doors, and other millwork items. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Working on a door assembly line and keeping up on routine maintenance of equipment
• Using Saws, Nail Guns, Staplers and other tools needed to prep wood material used to assemble doors
• Safely operate a forklift to assist in moving material to appropriate area of the shop
• Pick and pull production material as needed
• Load, unload, store and package material as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and observe all safety rules posted.

Required Skills

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; write simple correspondence; effectively present information to others one-on-one.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; deal with problems involving a few concrete variables and standardized situations.
• Strong math skills, ability to read a tape measure

Required Experience

• High School diploma/GED; or 1 to 3 months related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read tape measure
• Understanding of basic math such as adding, subtracting, and fractions.
• Previous door assembly or carpentry experience preferred (Willing to train the right candidates).
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Forklift Certification (preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
