GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Master Scheduler is responsible for planning and coordinating all process/production runs to fabricate material, including setting up/maintaining systems to track work orders, verifying availability and inspection of all necessary parts and consumables, scheduling and coordinating staff time, run time, and machine up/down time.
The Master Scheduler will routinely interface with key stakeholders and machine operators/technicians for scheduling of work orders, equipment, materials and other activities (including prototypes, engineering, inventory and/or production runs). The Master Scheduler may also communicate daily with customer service staff and sales staff on delivery schedules daily.

Requirements
High School diploma, AA preferred
5 years' SAP or other ERP planning experience
7 years' manufacturing planning/scheduling experience
Strong administrative support skills
Intermediate excel skills
5 years of schedule modelling
Well-developed verbal and written communication
Eligible to work in an ITAR environment
Close computer vision
Pay range: $65k - $100k
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrates highly independent decision-making skills on day-to-day plant wide scheduling oversight.
- Updates Sales and/or Engineering Departments on an ongoing basis with current schedule and any schedule changes, including Lead Time.
- Develops/creates/formats schedule for use in daily and weekly meetings and oversees timely distribution to appropriate staff. Initiates corrective action when schedule is not met.
- Receives orders and creates work orders in SAP per requirements. Directs production planning and execution activities. May direct cross functional team assignments.
- Addresses questions or missing planning information with production, engineering, and QA staff. Will validate information, demand, and recovery plans often.
- Ensures that correct runs are prioritized and that raw materials are available as schedules are created. May collect, validate, or correct material masters.
- Understands profit policies of the company and importance of On Time Delivery (OTD). Drives metrics related to OTD and tracks results.
- Schedules production runs to ensure products are produced and delivered on time. Works with Production Management/Engineering to schedule production orders for maximum machine utilization and in concert with available machines and staffing.
- Coordinates purchase, calibration and tracking of production tools and related ERP entries. Works closely with all departments from blanks to warehouse.
- Maintains and updates relevant training documentation. May train other schedulers, planner, and production assistants.
- Runs a variety of reports from SAP and provides management a detailed update monthly. May present data in a variety or weekly and monthly meetings (Sonkin, MRM etc.).
- Directs material planning team to purchase raw materials and incorporates material schedules.
- Daily reviews the master schedule (MS) and evaluates need for changes or corrections based on production input. Analyzes demand, yield, sonkin, and out of balance conditions which can affect delivery. May physically walk the production areas to identify concerns or changes to machine capability.
- May join sales or customer calls weekly. Reports on manufacturing results and monitors performance against goals.
- Reviews and resolves all scheduling problems to avoid delays. May review work of other planners or schedulers and report recommendations to plant leadership, quality, and supply management.
- Develops working knowledge of Kyocera's products and processes to ensure optimal schedule stability.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
