Organization: HR WD Sustainment Job Summary: JOB SUMMARY Partner with customers to analyze, design, test, implement, and maintain computer-based information systems. Provide large and mid-sized project support as needed to areas within HR and other relevant business areas as needed. Provide advanced analysis of business data and offer detailed analysis and solutions that can be acted upon. Support HR staff regarding issues related to the human resources mission, vision and policies and/or resource allocation as it relates to HR IT systems. Partner with others in the organization to interpret and manage business reports and analysis in an effort to identify areas for improvement and document and implement recommended changes. This position also is expected to consult with influence other HR areas to make sound, future-proof decisions relative to technology and HR systems. . KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide project management and support for new systems implementations, systems upgrades, annual system updates, and system enhancements. • Act as a departmental representative in the planning, development, and implementation of various systems partnering with appropriate Information Technology teams and/or software vendors as necessary. • Develop the expertise in the departmental use of automated applications and serves as the point of contact for end users on proposed process and application changes. • Consult with customers to conduct analysis on business processes to help identify needs and facilitate finding solutions to those needs. • Proactively identify customer strength and weaknesses and suggest areas of business process improvement. • Propose solutions to problems and consider timeliness, effectiveness, and practicality in addressing customer needs. • Develop and maintain technical documentation on computer-based information systems; compile documentation for design changes and creation criteria. • Trouble-shoot technical issues and user issues, while interacting with the software vendor • Coordinate the testing and implementation of various patch upgrades, gather data, perform analysis of information, develop conclusions, and communicate recommendations to all levels within the organization. • Apply statistically sound analytic methods during this process, where applicable. • As a senior consultant, this position is also responsible to provide training as well as guide and mentor new or less experienced teammates to be successful and should possess a solid understanding of HR data and reporting.
