We are seeking rock stars to join a team of Outdoor Cultivation Technicians. Hired team members will be working outdoors on 2 acres of land to provide care and support for plant cultivation. This is a long-term project. Successful candidates could have the opportunity for direct hire.
Clear communication, mutual respect of teammates, and a passion for Cannabis is a must!
Responsibilities:
- Transplanting, up-potting, defoliating, training, trellissing, watering, planting, etc.
- Attention to detail
- Manage marijuana plants, giving each individual plant the attention it needs
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Maintain open communication with the management team and other co-workers
- Responsible for following all operational guidelines, verbal directives, training information, and policies when performing duties
- Accomplish all tasks appropriately assigned or requested
Desired Experience:
- Regulations require that applicants be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain and maintain state marijuana work credentials
- Candidates must successfully complete a criminal record check, Live-Scan or FBI Fingerprints requirements, drug test (THC acceptable if candidate is MMCC cardholder)
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Prior outdoor labor, farm work, production, construction, nursery, landscaping, and/or agricultural experience preferred
- Cannabis experience helpful but not required
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for long periods of time
- Ability to work effectively and in a cohesive team atmosphere with all areas
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Working Environment:
- Greenhouse and Outdoor work
- High humidity and temperatures, ranging between 80-100 degrees F during summer months
- Working with a team
- Morning Stretching and frequent hydration breaks
- Outdoor break room trailer and restrooms
- Exposure to sprays for preventative pest maintenance
Physical Requirements:
- This is a physically intensive job, and candidates must be comfortable working all day outdoors
- Daily stretching with the team before work
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, lifting, walking, standing, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions
- Able to lift, carry and balance up to 75 pounds (125 pounds with assistance)
- Walking and standing for extended periods of time on unlevel surfaces, as well as stooping, bending, and crouching
